Key Stage 3 & GCSE Maths Tuition

Skills School can provide tuition for Mathematics as your child begins or prepares to sit their GCSEs. We are happy to provide support specifically related to ongoing schoolwork and can help prepare students for completing their investigatory coursework, but we can also work with your child to develop exam techniques in time for sitting their GCSE. Our Maths tutors are experienced in teaching the GCSE and have an excellent grasp of the core areas covered in the GCSE and the skills required to achieve at this level.

In addition to GCSE support we can offer general maths support, and extended maths opportunities, for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. We work with both key stages in the areas of number and algebra; shape, space and measure; data handling and the application of maths in solving problems.

We utilise a range of teaching techniques when providing Maths tuition, including the use of traditional classroom methods, ICT, mock exams, interactive displays and personalised learning methods. We will provide homework where appropriate but do understand that the student's school homework and coursework comes first.
